RELATED: Elden Ring: How To Change Character Appearance

Jellyfish mobs can be found throughout the Lands Between, and most players run into their first group of them in Limgrave northwest of the Church of Elleh. They are not the toughest enemies in Elden Ring, but their attacks are surprisingly devastating and long-ranged. The Spirit Jellyfish, on the other hand, is a useful and powerful Spirit Summon throughout most of the game.

A Jellyfish With High HP And A Poison Ability

The main benefit of the Spirit Jellyfish over other Spirit Summons is its incredibly high HP pool. Margit the Fell Omen, for example, does far less damage to the Spirit Jellyfish than to the player, and as such it is one of the best tanking Spirit Summons available early on. It doesn’t attack via melee, though, instead it regularly shoots a Poison projectile at enemies, which can build up quickly and sap HP long after the Spirit Jellyfish dies.

Although it might seem like the Wandering Nobles or Demi-Human Ashes would be better because of their larger number of summons, the Spirit Jellyfish holds its own thanks to its survivability. The Demi-Humans summoned by the Demi-Human Ashes die almost instantly to Agheel’s fire, while the Spirit Jellyfish survives through this fight far, far longer.

Where To Get The Spirit Jellyfish Ashes

The Spirit Jellyfish Ashes can only be earned by talking to Roderika, the red-hooded crestfallen woman sitting in Stormhill Shack. To find Stormhill Shack, head northwest on the road leading through a ravine from the Gatefront Ruins, just north of the Church of Elleh. You can avoid the giant and the Godrick Soldiers easily by mounting Torrent and sprinting past.

Follow this road until you find another Lost Grace near a shack. This is the Stormhill Shack, whose title should appear on your screen upon entry. Roderika can be found sitting inside, and after exhausting her dialogue completely, she will give you the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes as well as the Sitting Sideways gesture. Be sure to listen to her carefully, as her questline is necessary for Spirit Summon upgrades later in the game.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
