This Elden Ring mask is dropped by an optional boss located at the Nokron, Eternal City. Getting there is a journey, as it requires defeating Starscourage Radahn, one of the harder demigod bosses of the game. However, going to the Nokron Eternal City is a requirement to complete Ranni’s questline as well.

Getting To The Mimic Tear Boss In Nokron

The very first step to getting this helmet is to defeat Starscourge Radahn. Once that happens, a meteor is going to fall upon the Lands Between, opening a way to Nokron.

The meteor lands to the west of Fort Haight, south of the Mistwood Ruins. Climb downwards, and the Tarnished will end up at the Nokron Eternal City Outskirts.

The goal then is to get to the main part of the city, which is straightforward going northeast. Eventually, the Tarnished will get to the Nokron Eternal City site of Grace. They’ll come to a temple ruin and find a mist door. Beyond that mist door is the Mimic Tear Boss. It will spawn from the center of the arena once the Tarnished walks forward.

Mimic Tear Boss Fight

The Mimic Tear boss is a reflection of the Tarnished, so its abilities are dependent on the player’s stats and equipment. One way to cheese the fight is to go through the mist with no equipment and then equip weapons and gear after the mimic appears with nothing on. Another tip is to use Ashes.

Once defeated, the Mimic Tear drops two larval tears, 10000 Runes, and the Silver Tear Mask. The mask is not part of a set, but players have found that it looks best with the Mausoleum Knight Armor, Loretta’s Royal Knight Armor, and Alberich’s Robe. The mask can also be used by non-Arcane builds just to meet certain requirements for incantations.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
