By reading the book on the pedestal in front of Testu’s Rise, players will be told to “seek three wise beasts.” Some players might think this will involve boss fights or something, but they’ll actually need to kill three turtles that can be found around Testu’s Rise. Here’s how to get inside Testu’s Rise in Elden Ring and grab the reward that lies within.

Seek Three Wise Beasts

Turtle Location #1

Head left from the tower’s main entrance to find the first turtle hanging out by some rocks. A skeleton creature will be staring at the turtle, making it easy to spot. However, be careful, as these Elden Ring skeletons will attack players and deal a good amount of damage.

Turtle Location #2

Now, from the first location, head east until players spot another skeleton standing on a tall rock. He will be staring at the second turtle, who is stuck on the side of a tall tree. The turtle will be glowing blue, so it shouldn’t be too hard to spot it. However, since it’s high up in the air, players will need to use a bow and arrow or a magic attack to inflict damage on it.

Turtle Location #3

From the main tower entrance, head east/southeast and walk along the edge of the cliff, but look down simultaneously. A turtle will be on the ground floor, so players can either use a ranged attack or go down to attack it with a melee weapon. Once it’s taken care of, the seal on the door will be removed, and players finally go inside Testu’s Rise –the skeletons in the area should disappear as well.

Testu’s Rise Chest

Now that the front entrance is open, players can climb to the top to find a single treasure chest containing a handy item called a Memory Stone. Using this will increase the number of slots available for learning new sorceries and incantations, which can be great for players focused on using magic.

Elden Ring is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
